Timber family house: alterations & additions to this heritage timber family house in Annandale including new windows and doors, vergola, bathroom, removal of columns and fireplace to extend the kitchen to the living room, with a feature kitchen island bench, new feature Australian hardwood throughout the ground floor and kitchen as the meeting place of the entire home.
The interior bathroom completely remodelled and the internal walls and ceilings throughout the property were timber lined, with the damp/rot problems in the failing creaky floors resolved with new Australian spotted gum timber floor boards. Through the use of both an architect & HBuild, the house is practical, beautiful and family friendly. An entire room was constructed on the rear deck with a vergola to allow for family indoor-outdoor living, glass and timber handrails were installed and the entire house was painted with new western red cedar timber windows installed.
